Adobe for Education Summit: 5 Reasons to Join!

This July, the team at Adobe Education has put together a special three-day event, and you’re invited! The Adobe for Education Summit takes place this July and there is still time to register for this free event. It probably doesn’t come as a surprise that I love all things Adobe and am a big fan of the Spark tools. I have a book full of dozens of creative activity ideas Ben Forta and I wrote featuring Spark Video, Spark Post, and Spark Page.

Whether you use these tools with student creators or have another set of favorite creative tools, this summit is for you. In today’s blog post, I’ll share details about the event and why you’ll want to add it to your summer calendar. When is the Adobe for Education Summit? July 27th is the pre-conference day, and July 28th and July 29th are the main days of the event.  If you’re ready to grab your spot right now (it’s free!), use this link to register.

5 Reasons to Join the Adobe for Education Summit

The Adobe for Education Summit will include a pre-conference day for Digital Media educators. During the pre-conference day, you’ll explore how to design learning experiences that foster creativity in digital media and CTE programs. In addition, you’ll have a chance to participate in live sessions and create visually compelling graphics, illustrations, animations, videos, and websites that you can integrate into your curriculum.

The first official day of the conference is all about fostering creativity in the classroom and beyond. You can attend two different tracks on July 28th, including one for educators and one for IT Administrators. Day 2 of the conference is all about building curiosity to spark learning and enrich student engagement. On this day (July 29th), you’ll create graphics, videos, and websites to bring back to your classroom and have a chance to participate in guided workshops.

On the list below, I’ve included just a few of the reasons you may want to join in on this special summit. I grabbed my spot already and can’t wait to learn from guest speakers and participants this summer!

Free Professional Learning

The Adobe for Education Summit is completely free. You can use this link to grab your spot and register for the event. If you are looking for high-quality content without investing in a larger event, this one has you covered. Speaking of free , make sure to check out Spark for Education after you register — it’s totally free, too.

Connect with Other Educators

At this event, you can connect with other educators excited about creativity in the classroom. If you listened to this episode of the Easy EdTech Podcast, you certainly know that there are many ways to think about creativity and how creative experiences belong in every subject area. The Adobe for Education Summit will include opportunities to chat and participate during sessions. You can also follow the hashtag #AdobeEduCreative during the event to connect with educators on social media.

The Adobe for Education Summit takes place this July and there is still time to register for this free event.

Virtual Events = Attend Anywhere

The Adobe for Education Summit is entirely virtual, and you can join in from anywhere! There are many great things about a virtual conference, including the flexibility to pop in and out of sessions. I don’t know about you, but this year I’ve attended lots of virtual events. It’s been great to participate virtually in events I haven’t been able to participate in in the past.

Try out Classroom-Friendly Activities

If you’re looking for activities to bring back to your classroom, you’ll certainly want to attend this event. There a variety of opportunities to create products you can bring back to your classroom. Day 1 of the event on July 28th will focus on creativity, and Day 2 on July 29th will focus on curiosity and student engagement.

Earn a Digital Badge

All educators joining the Adobe for Education Summit can earn their Adobe Creative Educator Level 1 and Level 2 digital badge certifications, too. Regular readers of the blog might remember this blog post where I shared the Adobe Creative Educator program. You’ll learn more about the Level 1 and Level 2 digital badge certifications by joining this special event.

Add your name to the list and grab your spot for the Adobe for Education Summit on this page. You can register in this spot for the pre-conference and the two days of the event! Use this link to join the event.
