Special Kahoot! EdTrends Report

I am a huge fan of Kahoot! so I’m super excited to share some news about their new quizzing app and special report. If you’re a regular follower of ClassTechTips.com you know I’m passionate about checking for understanding with technology (aka #FormativeTech). Well Kahoot! is a tool I use all the time when leading sessions with educators.

It’s the perfect tool to show off the power of technology to check for understanding and students (and teachers!) absolutely love it. If you haven’t explored Kahoot! before, it is a game-based learning platform and used in classrooms around the world. The video below shows off how engaging Kahoot! is and why students are super excited about using this tool.

Special Kahoot! EdTrends Report

This week they’ve launched their Kahoot! EdTrends Report which highlights the latest education tech trends in the K-12 market in the United States. Their goal was to create a quarterly report to help educators and administrators stay better informed about trending educational technologies, methods and best practices.

Key findings of the report include how the Chrome OS is growing quickly on computers in the classroom while Apple’s iOS dominates on mobile devices and tablets. They found that Google Classroom/G Suite for Education is the most popular productivity suite in classrooms in the United States and educators see technology as a way to  improve student productivity. You can learn more by checking out the full report.

New Kahoot! App

If you’re heading to ISTE this month definitely carve out time to stop by the Kahoot! booth (#326) to check out the new Kahoot! app. They are showing off the new app at ISTE so you’ll definitely want to stop by and check it out! If you won’t be at ISTE, don’t worry – you can find plenty of information on Kahoot! and lots of ideas for using it in your classroom by heading over to their website!
