As regular readers of the blog, you know that I love sharing EdTech tools, strategies, and resources. One thing you’ll find here and on the podcast are stories from educators who share their passion for educational technology. It’s one of the best ways to imagine what’s possible with thoughtful, intentional education technology integration.
Today on the blog, I’m excited to share The Wired Classroom, a free monthly EdTech newsletter from Edutopia.
Over ten years ago, I started blogging for Edutopia, and its library of content has grown by leaps and bounds over the past decade. The team at Edutopia has released a new monthly EdTech newsletter called The Wired Classroom. Just like everything from Edutopia, the newsletter is also completely free.
Let’s take a look at everything you’ll find in The Wired Classroom and how to sign up for free!
Free Monthly EdTech Newsletter from Edutopia
The Wired Classroom is a monthly roundup from Edutopia of the best in education technology. Each issue covers the latest, most impactful educational technology tools and strategies, vetted by experts in the Edutopia community. This monthly EdTech newsletter from Edutopia shares helpful tips and strategies so readers can learn how to use technology to supercharge teaching and learning. It covers strategies related to assessment, curriculum development, classroom engagement, and much more.
As I mentioned earlier, the newsletter is completely free. All you have to do is head to this page and share the grade levels you’re most interested in and your role. Then, you can decide if you want to create an account with your email or simply sign up with a Google or Facebook account. I certainly took advantage of signing up with Google single sign-on.
When you sign up, make sure to indicate the grade levels and role most relevant to you. By sharing just a little bit about yourself, the content in each newsletter you get will be tailored to your needs and interests as an educator.
After you sign up for the free monthly newsletter, your Edutopia.org experience will be customized; you’ll see resources just for you to explore right away. Ensuring you’re signed in means having a better Edutopia experience every time you visit. Then, once a month, you’ll receive The Wired Classroom email newsletter straight to your inbox. The editors at Edutopia work hard to ensure all content is practical and highly relevant based on a subscriber’s unique role. (For example, if you teach K-5, they’ll highlight K-5-relevant content.)
