Moviemaking, website building, graphic design… your students can do it all! This May I’m hosting a book club that’s completely different from anything I’ve done in the past. You will read, skim, explore and create… to finish off the school year strong!
You may have heard the news, 40 Ways to Inject Creativity in the Classroom with Adobe Spark is a book full of activity ideas for you to customize for your students. With K-12 lessons for all subject areas, this book was designed to help you inject creativity into the great work already happening in your classroom!
So this May I’m hosting a totally new type of book club. Since this isn’t a “traditional” book with chapters or reading assignments, this book club is all about creation. You’ll start Week 1 by reading the introduction and skimming through the activity ideas. Week 2 will be all about moviemaking where you’ll create and share your own Spark Video. Week 3 will focus on website creation with Spark Page. And Week 4 will give you a chance to create and share a graphic with Spark Post. We’ll finish up the month with a live video call to celebrate everything you’ve accomplished!
Would you like to join the May Spark Book Club?
You can work at your own pace during the month of May. There will be five prompts posted throughout the month. You’ll find these along with videos to show you how to get started with the Spark tools. Anyone who joins the book club will have access to a special Flipgrid page. Here you can share activity ideas and share any Spark Video, Spark Page or Spark Post creations you make during the month. At the end of the month I’ll host a live video call and share a few new favorites and answer your questions!
The book club is free to join, all you have to do is show proof of purchase! You might already have a receipt if you ordered a copy of the book online, or you might have a copy of the book sitting on your desk right now (which counts too!)
