My last years in the classroom were at an environmental stewardship magnet school. I certainly love digital tools that give students an opportunity to learn about biomes and animals. The Nature Maestro series of environmental apps introduce students to Earth’s biomes and animals through immersive audio and visual explorations. This series features Costa Rican rainforests and Glacier Bay, Alaska.
Nature Mastro lets students and adults use their creativity and imagination to create, compose, and share audio-rich soundscapes regardless of their age. They have access to authentic animal sounds recorded on location in North and Central America. Students can combine weather and animal sounds to create their own soundscapes. Each app also includes standards-aligned, project-based learning activities for classrooms and home schooling.
