Readers of ClassTechTips.com know that I’m a big fan of augmented reality and believe in the importance of authentic experiences for students. The folks at Brainspace have developed a new set of entrepreneurship lessons for students called The Entrepreneurial Toolkit. Teachers can use the lessons – which include augmented reality experiences – to introduce students to entrepreneurship.
This toolkit is divided into practical lessons for students. You’ll find augmented reality crash courses that pop off of the page for students. Each of the four units include: key learning concepts, hands-on activities and real-life stories from young entrepreneurs. This augmented reality teacher toolkit provides students with truly interactive workbooks. It includes curriculum links for all states (U.S) and provinces (Canada), as well as video demos on entrepreneurial topics such as what is an idea canvas, what is design thinking, and what is prototyping. The Entrepreneurial Toolkit helps teachers make connections to how these concepts can be applied in the classroom and show students why it applies to their lives on a practical level.
What Entrepreneurship Lessons will you find in The Entrepreneurial Toolkit?
Finding your idea
- Design thinking
- Building successful teams
- SWOT your idea
- Idea Canvas
Customer Research and Discovery
- Customer Discovery
- Interviews & Surveys
- What is a Brand?
- Elevator Pitch
I love resources for educators that connect students to practical experiences. Whether you are looking to take an entrepreneurial spin on a project-based learning experience or want to integrate entrepreneurial skills into a social studies or community service experience, this toolkit is definitely worth checking out.
