Daisy the Dinosaur to Teach Coding

August 16, 2013

A great app to support STEM education is Daisy the Dinosaur. Teach students the basics of coding by giving commands to the dinosaur as it moves across the screen. Whether your students are completing challenges or working in free-play mode, they’ll have lots to explore and practice in this free app!

  1. This year, I have started using both Daisy the Dinosaur and Kodable with my first and second grade students. I like the problem solving aspects as well as introduction to coding concepts. Looking to find or put together some task cards for my students when using Daisy the Dinosaur app. They have used the Challenge but want something more for the Free Explore component.
