Scan and Learn with the Socratic Homework App

You know that I’m crazy about #ScannableTech and here is a fantastic example of it in action. The folks at Socratic.org have just released a new homework app. It makes it easier to for kids to get the help they need. With Socratic’s app, students snap a photo of questions on their homework assignments… and Socratic automatically gives links kids to content that helps them answer the questions and learn the material.

Homework App

Scan and Learn with the Socratic Homework AppSocratic’s artificial intelligence (AI) figures out the concept needed to answer the question. Its AI was developed using experts who categorized example questions depending on the core concepts needed to answer them. Those categorizations helps the app predict the concept a student needs to master. This is for when it will  answer a question. So even if it’s not explicitly part in the question, it will certainly work. Socratic’s content is most robust in chemistry currently, but other subjects are growing.

Socratic is currently available for iOS devices (Android coming soon) and you can download it on the Apple App Store!
