Sketchbook Express is a powerful iPad creation tool with free content for users. This app for iPad is a terrific choice for student creators no matter what subject you’re teaching. With lots of standard drawing features like the ability to choose different lines and colors, it also has tons of options for students taking notes or making simple drawings.

One option I love is the ability to create symmetrical drawings. With this feature you can incorporate math exploration as students draw shapes and symbols (check out my symmetrical butterfly!). With this particular type of activity, you can also incorporate math vocabulary.
