Online Volunteering Opportunities from simpleshow foundation

Have you heard of mysimpleshow? Last year I shared their very cool explainer video tool and I’m super excited to tell you about the new online volunteering opportunities from the simpleshow foundation. Their team has launched online volunteer opportunities to help fulfill their mission of educating the world. If you’re looking to connect students with global content and connect them to authentic audiences, you’ll definitely want to check out the simpleshow foundation’s online volunteering opportunities.

Online Volunteering Opportunities

The simpleshow foundation‘s online volunteer program is designed to help people from around the world come together to explain the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The foundation is working in cooperation with the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) on this special opportunity. Volunteers are encouraged to help explain the 17 sustainable development goals of Agenda 2030 through simple and entertaining explainer videos. It’s an awesome opportunity for student creators to dive into important content and produce a shareable product.

So how does it work? Volunteer writers sign up for the program on the simpleshow foundation’s website. They choose one of the offered topics or suggest a topic of their own. You and your students can create explainer videos with mysimpleshow – it’s an easy-to-use online video-creator that is super friendly for the classroom. Volunteers “donate” their video to simpleshow foundation and they publish it on our channels. This provides an instant audience for student creators!

Explainer videos are perfect to use as an illustrated presentation of educational content. Students can use this tool when exploring informational text as both readers and writers, across content areas. The folks at mysimpleshow and simpleshow foundation want to contribute to world’s free knowledge by making it understandable and accessible for more people. This is also a great opportunity to join in this mission with students.
