ClassHook Helps Teachers Find Classroom Television Clips
As a former one-to-one iPad classroom teacher who used free applications with her students, I’m super excited that ClassHook is completely free to use. You will need to create an account to access their full library. Once you’re logged in you can bookmark favorite clips to easily find them later and create your own playlists. Just like you can see in the video above, ClassHook has search filters so you can find a video that is just right for the grade level you’re teaching. It also lets you search using filters for clip length and name of television series or movie title.
The team at ClassHook shared with me that most of the clips on their website have been vetted by a group of teachers to make sure they are a good fit for classroom instruction. Right now they have a library of over 1,000 clips. The clips cover a wide range of topics. Teachers can even use embed codes to place clips into classroom presentations.
Teachers can submit their own clips to ClassHook to grow the website’s library. Additionally, you can request clips from them (for free) if you don’t find exactly what you’re looking for.
