Create & Share Lessons: Kids Discover Online #XCurricular Contest

I’m super excited to share a special opportunity from Kids Discover Online. They have a special contest going on now for teachers and there’s still time to enter. The Kids Discover’s Cross-Curricular (#XCurricular) Contest challenges educators to create engaging and imaginative cross-curricular lessons using at least one Kids Discover resource. Their goal is to encourage teachers to create and share an engaging interdisciplinary lesson. This lesson should demonstrates the power of cross-curricular instruction.

Kids Discover Online #XCurricular Contest

As a classroom teacher I always tried to make connections across the content areas. This includes choosing a historical fiction book for a read aloud related to a social studies topic. There were also times when I sharing a piece of informational text in an ELA block that laid the foundation for a science lesson. With this challenge you can also get instant access to Kids Discover Online with their special coupon code XCurricular for 1-month free access.

All you have to do is follow along the instructions found here and you’ll be eligible to win one of these prizes:

  • 1st Prize – Site License to Kids Discover Online ($2500 value)
  • 2nd Prize – 3 Educator subscriptions to Kids Discover Online + Kids Discover Print Collection ($800 value)
  • 3rd Prize – $300 credit towards Kids Discover products (Print and Digital)
