Earlier this month I had the chance to talk to Dr. David Seelow and learn about a special event taking place in New York City later this summer. Revolutionary Learning 2016 is a conference focusing on game-based learning and game-based thinking. As the founding director of the Center for Game and Simulation-Based Learning at Excelsior College, Dr. Seelow is the leading force behind Revolutionary Learning 2016 Revolutionary Learning 2016 and passionate about all game-based, innovative approaches to education.
Games Conference
Speakers at the conference include Ian Livingstone the co-founder of Games Workshop. Attendees will hear about the power of coding as an essential language for students of all ages. Student presenters will share work happening in schools – a great opportunity to honor student voice and learn how to turn big ideas into action items. The panel presentations will focus on the evidence supporting the effectiveness of alternate reality games and all participants will have an opportunity to design their own game during the conference.
Revolutionary Learning 2016 takes place August 17th-19th at The Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. Find more information and register on their website with the k12 code for a 65% discount on registration.
Although I’m not speaking at this event, you can catch me at one of these upcoming conferences.
