Turnitin Revision Assistant: Student Writing Feedback Online Tool

Turnitin Revision Assistant is a tool for teachers to help them give feedback to students. Effective feedback should be timely and specific – Revision Assistant makes this important process manageable for teachers. With this writing feedback tool students can receive feedback aligned to a rubric of specific criteria set up by the teacher for that particular assignment. This could fall into categories like clarity and focususe of text evidence, or genre awareness, just to name a few.

Student Writing Feedback

One of the parts of Revision Assistant I like the most is how students can ask for feedback. This feedback request can happen when students need it. This feature is a signal check. It helps students understand how feedback is an important part of the writing process.

The Revision Assistant is great for moments when students need immediate support and feedback. It can be used before the teacher steps in to provide useful, formative feedback. This tool is for students in grades 6-12. It is full of prompts that address narrative, informative and argumentative writing.
