Adobe Spark Publishing Tools for Web Browsers & iOS Apps

Big news today from Adobe! They’ve rebranded three of my favorite free apps for publishing and they’re now ALL web friendly. This means you can now use Adobe Spark Post (formerly Post), Adobe Spark Page (formerly Slate), and Adobe Spark Video (formerly Voice) on Chromebooks and iPads. Over the past few months I’ve shared how much I love these tools when visiting schools and speaking at conferences across the country.

This update is a game changer for teachers and students looking to demonstrate their understanding of a concept and create products for an authentic audience. There is now Google login (including GAFE) which makes these tools even easier for students to use. From book trailers and public service announcements, to newsletters and short stories, the possibilities are endless!

Access Adobe Spark on the web or find the more information about their iPad and iPhone apps by clicking here.

  • Video: presentation tool for creating short clips to tell a story, convince an audience, provide information, you name it!
  • Page: perfect for publishing text-heavy stories like a research report, biography project, newsletter, or step-by-step guide
  • Post: social media creation tool for making printable posters and shareable images

Each of the new Spark apps can be downloaded individually on the Apple App Store to use on iPads. Web browser and Chromebook users can access all three together by visiting Adobe Spark’s website. With one login you dive into all three tools, and even have the chance to combine different creations.

Now that Adobe Spark is completely web browser friendly, it’s the perfect choice for BYOD or bring-your-own-device classrooms. When I visit schools and speak with teachers I always use the phrase tasks before apps – putting the learning objectives front and center. The new Adobe Spark tools are completely free and definitely student-friendly.

Adobe Spark is free! You can access it on the web or find more information about their iPad and iPhone apps by clicking here. Make sure to share your creations with the hashtag #SparkMade
